Guide/Part Two · Write
Typing & autocorrect
Type normally. GLASS quietly fixes the typography most word processors get wrong, and every fix is undoable on its own.
| You type | GLASS gives you |
|---|---|
Straight quotes " ' | Curly typographic quotes “ ” ‘ ’ |
-- then more text | An em dash — |
... | An ellipsis … |
1/2, 3/4 at a word boundary | A single fraction glyph ½ ¾ |
| a lowercase letter starting a sentence | An automatic capital |
Tip
Each correction is its own step. Press Ctrl+Z / ⌘Z once to undo just the correction and keep what you typed. It's the escape hatch for intentional lowercase (bell hooks), literal hyphens, and section dividers like ---.
