Tables
GLASS supports simple manuscript tables, a clean grid of cells that hold prose.
- Choose Insert ▸ Table and pick the size you want, up to 8×8.
- Type in a cell. Press Tab to move to the next cell, Shift+Tab / ⇧Tab to go back. Tab in the last cell adds a row.
- Right-click for the Table menu: insert or delete rows and columns, toggle a bold Header Row, or delete the table.

Step 1 looks different on each platform, because a macOS menu can't host a live widget. On Windows, Insert ▸ Table opens a hover grid you sweep to size. On macOS it opens the Insert Table dialog, where you type the rows and columns. Both insert exactly the same table, and the dialog is available on Windows too for anyone who'd rather not use the mouse.
Drag any interior column boundary to resize; an emerald guide previews the change. A long table splits between rows across pages, and a header row repeats on each new page.
Note
Cells hold prose only. Page breaks, chapter markers, and footnotes can't go inside a cell.
