Guide/Part Five · Save, protect, recover

Crash recovery

If GLASS closes unexpectedly, your unsaved work is waiting the next time you open it.

  1. On Home, look for the Recovered section above your recent files.
  2. Click a recovered card to restore that work, or click its to discard it (this asks to confirm).

Recovery is automatic. Autosave writes a temp copy as you work, and it survives a crash. Recovered cards name the file and when it was last edited, and restoring one re-binds it to its original file so your next save goes to the right place.

Note

GLASS never discards a recovered snapshot on a guess. The only automatic cleanup is a 90-day age prune.
