Keyboard shortcuts

Here are the essentials, on both platforms. See the full list in Help ▸ Shortcuts, which always shows the chords for the machine you're on.

Most shortcuts follow one rule: wherever Windows uses Ctrl, macOS uses ⌘. Ctrl+S / ⌘S saves on either machine. The rest of this page writes Windows first, macOS second.

Where macOS genuinely differs

Six shortcuts aren't a modifier swap, because the Windows chord either doesn't exist on a Mac keyboard or already means something else there. These are the Mac conventions you'd expect, not Windows chords in disguise.

Action	Why it differs
Redo — `Ctrl`+`Y` / `⌘⇧Z`	⌘Y isn't a Mac chord, so macOS uses ⌘⇧Z and GLASS doesn't bind ⌘Y at all.
Find & Replace — `Ctrl`+`H` / `⌥⌘F`	macOS reserves ⌘H for Hide Application, so Replace takes ⌥⌘F.
Line start / end — `Home` / `⌘←` · `End` / `⌘→`	A Mac laptop has no Home or End key, so the verb moves to ⌘← / ⌘→.
Document start / end — `Ctrl`+`Home` / `⌘↑` · `Ctrl`+`End` / `⌘↓`	Same reason: ⌘↑ / ⌘↓.
By word and by paragraph — `Ctrl`+`←` / `⌥←` · `Ctrl`+`↑` / `⌥↑`	⌥ carries word and paragraph motion on macOS, which frees ⌘ for the two rows above.
Fullscreen — `F11` (on macOS use ⌃⌘F — View ▸ Enter Full Screen)	F11 is Show Desktop on macOS, so GLASS leaves it alone and the system's own ⌃⌘F does the job.

Tip

On a Mac laptop the function keys need fn unless you've turned that off in System Settings ▸ Keyboard. So the Spelling & Grammar check is fn+F7 by default.
